Privacy
ComplexPulse is built to collect as little personal information as possible, and to keep what it does collect away from people who don't need it.
Who is responsible
Your body corporate (through its trustees or managing agent) decides why your information is collected. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) it is the responsible party. ComplexPulse runs the software on its behalf and is the operator.
What we collect
- Your mobile number, because that's how WhatsApp messages reach us.
- Your name and unit number, only if you or your trustees provide them. If we don't have your name yet, we use the name shown on your WhatsApp profile.
- The messages and photos you send about an issue.
- For trustees and managing agents: an email address for signing in.
Why we collect it
To log the issues you report, keep you updated on them, and send a weekly summary of what's happening in your complex. We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with other complexes.
Who can see what
- Everyone with the link sees the public status page: a short description of each issue, its category, dates and status. It never shows names, phone numbers, unit numbers or your own wording.
- Your trustees and managing agent see your messages, photos and phone number so they can sort the issue out and contact you if needed.
- Other residents never see your phone number.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the service: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Meta (WhatsApp messaging) and Resend (email). They process information only to provide their service to us.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information held about you, correct it, or have it deleted. To do that:
- Send DELETE MY DATA to the ComplexPulse WhatsApp number, or
- contact your trustees or managing agent (their details are on your complex's "Who runs it" page).
You can stop the weekly summary at any time by replying STOP. If you're unhappy with how your information is handled, you may complain to the Information Regulator.
